The creator uses FaceApp filters over and over on a selfie. Three very different versions of the selfie develop as different male/female filters are added overlaying the last version of the image. The more "beautifying" filters are added the more fragmented and grotesque the images turn. The video can also be read to question the concepts of beauty such apps propagate as all the filter options seen in the video represents white male or female models.
