Description (in English)

You play as James Earl Cash, a death row prisoner sentenced for murder. At his execution by lethal injection, he's only sedated, and wakes up to someone (The Director) watching him through CCTV cameras and giving him orders through an earpiece. Cash will get his freedom if he murders gang members sent to hunt him, within special areas filmed by CCTV.

Manhunt is renowned as a controversial videogame; for some, a critique of glorification of violence, for others, a reproduction of that same glorification. The origin isn't just the narrative framing, but also the fact that the longer the player holds a button, the more grotesque the murder, which you then have to watch in the replayed CCTV footage superimposed on your screen.
