A Song for a New Day

Description (in English)

Coordinated terrorist attacks and a pandemic ("the pox") have led to extended congregation laws, limiting the size of public gatherings. The novel is told from two perspectives: Luce, a rock musician on the cusp of a breakthrough on the night of massive terrorist attacks resulting in rock concerts and other public gatherings being banned, and Rosemary, a young woman who has grown up isolated after her parents moved to a rural farm at the start of the problems. Rosemary has grown up with remote schooling and living her life online, and works as a consultant from her home. After experiencing her first VR rock concert, she is hired as a recruiter for a StageHolo, to find underground rock concerts and sign the bands to start giving VR concerts for StageHolo instead.
