Description (in English)

The project is based on a procedure for measuring the involuntary ocular changes that happen in a group of people, determined according to categories that correspond with the ā€œIdeological Apparatus of Stateā€ (Louis Althusser) used by the Cuban Government. The people are submitted to questions that ā€œstress-testā€ the normal values in order to determine to what extent they reproduce the ideal behaviors internalized by the ideological apparatus. Ars Electronica VOIGHT-KAMPFF, retrieved February 18, 2020.

The title of the work references the Voight-Kampff test in Bladerunner, where a series of questions was administered while eye motion and other biometric data was analysed to assess whether a person was a replicant or not.Ā Ā

I added technologies - emotion recognition seems closest although it's not based on facial expressions. Alternative might be body scan but the eye isn't exactly a hidden body part?? - Jill 13.06.2021
I agree that emotion recognition fits best as it is used to measure stress levels hence "inner states of mind". Perhaps we need to expand the emotion recognition definition that it is not only facial expressions, but other tech with the same intention as well.
