Brief description

Compared to newer novels, this book hardly mentions facial recognition - understandably as it was written before neural networks made facial recognition feasible in high volume.

One of the guards gestured to a hole set into the wall nearby. Ross stuck his arm into the hole. A brilliant light glared from within.

Merritt pointed at the device. “What now?”

“Biometric scanner. It scans the pattern of veins in my forearm.”
