Description (in English)

FACELESS is a short film produced by using CCTV images obtained under the terms of the UK Data Protection Act. The film was played in front of surveillance cameras with the artist as the main character, there after the material was  obtained trough a bureaucratic process. In the "MANIFESTO for CCTV Filmmakers" the artist describes the process of obtaining  such CCTV material. However, legislation requires that when the data is released the privacy of other persons is protected. This is done by obscuring their faces, hence, in the film only the artist's face is visible.

Notes
In sentiments I chose to tag helpful and creepy. Helpful as in that the CCTV cameras are used to produce the film and it would not exist without them. This is also stated in the beginning of the trailer so this is obviously a important part of the film. On the other hand in the film the cameras are in a rather passive role however they anticipate something hostile, hence, I chose creepy as well. The topic hacking is added to this artwork because "hacking" or revers engineering the bureaucratic process to produce a film can be seen as an hack.
